When it was telecast live it was way too long for a tv program. I appreciated the interviews and background pieces they did on floats, organisations and individuals which provides some perspective and information you don’t get to see when you are actually there.
But it was too condensed and too much of the parade ended up on the chopping floor – there needs to be a happy medium which this program hasn’t achieved.
