FOR a long time time, Australian lesbians have had to sit back and watch their gay brothers search for love on gay men dating apps, but now a new聽app built for lesbian聽women is launching in Australia tomorrow.

Known as Her, the app is the built specifically for women who like women. It will official launche in Australia on Thursday, October 22.

Unlike the standard dating apps available for the gay men of Australia, this new app will feature Pinterest-style profiles, a community feed with events and content in what is being described as a mash up of Tinder and Facebook if it were聽created by women and for women.

“Her is about creating a space where lesbian, bi, queer, curious, flexisexual, pansexual and not-so-straight women can meet and find out what鈥檚 going on in their lesbian world. More social, less dating,” app founder Robyn Exton said.

“Women aren鈥檛 looking for a 鈥榟ot or not鈥� 鈥斅爐hey want to chat and聽meet up, make friends, meet girlfriends, find events.

“Her is a complete lesbian community and we can鈥檛 wait to bring it to Australia.鈥�

Her is available to download on the Apple App Store and聽will be available on the Android Play Store soon.
