Orange is the New Black star was once arrested for being gay
ORANGE is the New Black star Lea DeLaria has opened up about being arrested in the US for being gay.
DeLaria, who plays Big Boo on the show, shared her story in a interview.
She and a female partner were arrested in Missouri for publicly making out.
鈥淲e were so busted,鈥� she laughed.
鈥淚 so spent the night in jail!鈥�
DeLaria and the other women were separated while in jail.
鈥淭hey were afraid we were gonna fuck in the jail, I guess,鈥� she quipped.
In the interview, she also recalled the first time she realised her butch identity.
鈥淲hen I walked into my first dyke bar, there was this old dyke鈥� and she yelled, 鈥楬ey, baby butch!鈥�
鈥淎nd I went, oh鈥� I guess I鈥檓 a butch dyke.鈥�
Asked about the most hurtful thing someone has said about her sexuality, DeLaria said, 鈥淭hat鈥檚 the wrong way to put it, because I don鈥檛 get hurt. I am filled with rage.
鈥淪o if somebody says something stupid about my sexuality, I will get rageful about it.鈥�
