Kyle Sandilands blasts homophobic caller on the radio
Radio host Kyle Sandilands has shut down a caller who attacked LGBTI families, calling him a homophobe and a fuckwit, among other things.
Sandilands and co-host Jackie Henderson were taking calls on marriage equality yesterday when a caller named Mikey was put on the air, has reported.
鈥淚f we say yes to gay marriage, does that mean we鈥檙e gonna have to say yes for them to have kids?鈥� Mikey asked.
鈥淏ecause I鈥檓 totally against them having kids.鈥�
When it was pointed out to him that gay couples already have children, Mikey responded, 鈥淵eah, but I think it鈥檚 quite cruel鈥� I think it鈥檚 quite cruel to let them have kids.鈥�
Sandilands hit back, calling the comments 鈥渢he dumbest thing I have ever heard鈥�.
鈥淵ou鈥檙e a filthy homophobe pretending to masquerade as someone speaking on behalf of kids,鈥� Sandilands said.
Mikey stuck to his guns and called two men having a child 鈥渢he pinnacle of cruel鈥�.
鈥淵ou鈥檙e a f**k wit then, see you later,鈥� replied Sandilands, ending the call.
鈥淐ock head. What a wanker. Go away, you peasant.鈥�
The whole exchange is captured on a video on the Kyle and Jackie O Facebook page, where it has been viewed more than a million times.
