I would not say Mr Turnbull actually supports equality by kicking it into the Never Never land of a plebiscite. To be clear, at the whim of Mr Turnbull, we are now expected to raise millions, and ask millions of strangers for permission to marry. This is ugly apartheid, not equality. What Mr Turnbull does support is giving his colleagues a chance to put out hate speech and division that will have further catastrophic effects on some of us doing it tough.
