The ‘gay scene’ in the 70’s sucked it wasn’t until the punk/new wave underground happened that attracted a lot of alternative ‘gays’ and the steady introduction of European sounds started hitting the dance clubs that things got better, so yeah don’t up sell Sydney’s dull 70’s gay club scene

Mmmm…this article is not all true tho..it wasn’t the busiest gay bar in town in the 70s at all, Patches/Caps/Barrel InN WHERE ALL AS BUSY IF NOT MORE SO….and men where not really welcomed as I was asked to leave , being the only man there at the time
