Stranger Things star Noah Schnapp has come out as gay.聽
In an post to TikTok, Schnapp, 18, wrote, 鈥淲hen I finally told my friends and family I was gay after being scared in the closet for 18 years and all they said was ‘we know.'”
Referring to his character on Stranger Things, he captioned the post with, 鈥淚 guess I鈥檓 more similar to Will than I thought.鈥澛

Fifth Season On Its Way
On Stranger Things, Schnapp plays Will Byers. In the most recent season, it was heavily hinted that his character has feelings for his best friend,聽 Mike Wheeler, played by Finn Wolfhard.
, in an interview with Variety magazine, Schnapp confirmed that his Stranger Things character is gay.
At the time, Schnapp told Variety, 鈥淣ow that he鈥檚 gotten older, they made it a very real, obvious thing. Now it鈥檚 100 percent clear that he is gay and he does love Mike,鈥
Stranger Things premiered in 2016 and immediately became a hit. The fifth and final season was announced in February 2022
