The 17c起草社区 has teamed up with Points of Difference Events for a reader giveaway worth almost $5000.

The winner of the competition will win a trip for two to the four-day annual Frosty Fruits Ski Trip at the Hotham Alpine Resort, Mt Hotham this year, which includes return airfares from Sydney or Melbourne; accommodation; meals; event tickets and a choice of two custom-built activity packages.

The winner will fly out on Thursday, August 18 and return on Sunday, August 21.

鈥淲e had so much fun at last year鈥檚 Frosty Fruits ski weekend 鈥� even those of us who can鈥檛 ski all returned smiling.

鈥淲hen we heard about the events planned for this year鈥檚 ski trip, we were quick to jump on board and organise an extra special giveaway for our loyal and appreciated readers.鈥�

Frosty Fruits founder Adam Bold said he was looking forward to casting a rainbow glow over the snow at Mt Hotham.

He said the Frosty Fruits Ski Trip is for all levels of skiier or snowboarder, from novice to the more intrepid slope-goer.

鈥淓very year about 40 percent of our participants have not skied before. It鈥檚 very accessible for people,鈥� he said, before outlining plans to make the trip inclusive for all community members.

鈥淲e recognise there are not a lot of events out there for women, so we鈥檙e trying to cater for that. Once we get things happening, we can look at things like a women鈥檚 program.鈥�

There are also plans to book a special Bears鈥� Hut at the event so the lads can make the best use of their fur.

鈥淚 was very excited it got cold early and they鈥檝e already built a snowman at [Mt Hotham],鈥� Bold said. 鈥淟ast year we were there … they had one of the biggest snowfalls since the 鈥�80s. It was fantastic, fresh powder snow every day.

鈥淲ith the snow forecast for this week, it鈥檚 shaping up to be a really good season this year.鈥�
